Last night I had Dion go with me to the basketball games so that he could get a feel for the field house and how to take pictures in there. It was bad at first, he was really nervous. When he got comfortable (and let me change the settings) he got some really great pictures. I am super proud of them. Between the two of us we filled up a memory card with both men's and women's basketball. I told him to get crowd shots and to stalk Mocsie for pictures. I let him have the easier side at the beginning of the men's game since he had the harder one for the women's. Overall he's a great photographer so I know he'll have great video angles once he get the confidence to do it. He's a lot like I was last year.

This morning I had free time since one of my classes was cancelled and I went through and edited almost all the pictures that had been building up. I finally found the religion pictures! I was so happy! I did find out that some of the ROTC pictures are missing but I think I can find those.

Got a lot of the busy work for Interlachen done today. I think I really like having office hours, it makes things easier. There is absolutely nothing happening this week to take video and photos of so it was a brief meeting with pizza. Means I will be able to catch up the last pictures. I need to go visit Wayne and see if he's willing to help us with department pictures. Dion really stepped up and helped me a lot today and said he was going to help with the pictures that need processing. Austen is starting on the video rough draft. I think it was a productive meeting.

For WTV I actually had an idea that was decent and I want to see it all the way through. I know that I need to approach the way I do a package different so I really want to make this one good. I have so many ideas and Olivia's okay with anything she said. I am really excited to do a healthy eating package and I usually avoid those.

I shot video of the hot air balloon this past week. Austen said it was good but I was only able to go to certain spots. Also I didn't have a tripod so I felt that the shots were shaky. Other than that I spent two more hours editing photos and emailing clubs and Greek life about pictures. It's so stressful when people wait to the last moment to have their pictures made. I miss being in charge of only the pictures. But all this work will pay off February 24 when the book is done.

Already busy with the yearbook. I don't know how to get more people interested in it, we need the extra bodies now. Our meeting only had four people. At least Mishka was able to come. I got Austen to look up music finally too. I already started editing photos and I think I may need to refresh people's memories. I didn't get good photos of two events I really wanted and it upset me. But at least there were a lot of pictures because I was able to save some.

Last night I took pictures at the pep rally for Interlachen. Nobody else volunteered so I did it and I got some helpful advice from Justin Bivens that actually didn't make me feel like an idiot. He talked to me without "the tone" and helped me so I got a couple decent pictures. It was so dark though I really didn't get a lot of good ones. I wanted to do video so bad last night, it would have been great for the video yearbook. I only stayed an hour and (go figure) after I left I found out that they turned the lights back on. Even with my ISO all the way up and my F-stop all the way down, I might only be able to save half a dozen pictures.
